RAWALPINDI: The 14-year-old child activist, Malala Yousufzai, on Monday was sent to the United Kingdom where she will be provided continuity of care, in a specially equipped air ambulance from the United Arab Emirates arranged by the government of Pakistan, a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated.
On her arrival in the UK Malala will be transferred to an NHS hospital where she will receive specialist medical care.
Malala was accompanied by an intensive care specialist of the Army on her flight.
All expenses including Malala’s transportation and treatment abroad will be borne by the government of Pakistan.
